Obituary

George P.Olexa of Jefferson Twp.,R.D.2,Perryopolis,died at his home,Wednesday,February 4,1970, at 1:10 p.m.of a heart attack. He was born in Fayette County,January 6,1906. He was a member of St.John the Baptist R.C.Church,Perryopolis,Knights of Columbus,Belle Vernon Council 3025. He was a retired diesel mechanic for the Hillman Barger & Construction Co. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America. He is survived by his wife,Anna Belle Burnsworth Olexa,five sons,George Jr.of Monessen,Joseph of Charleroi,Raymond of Monessen,Richard and Michael at home,four daughters,Mrs.Edward (Mary Ann) Matway of Charleroi,R.D.,Mrs.Paul E.(Rose) Lewis of Perryopolis,R.D.,Mrs.Vincent (Marlene) Kamenicky of Springfield,Va.,Mrs.Donald (Bernadette) Joseph of Brownsville,fifteen grandchildren,three sisters,Mrs.John Hartley of Tampa,Fla.,Mrs.Mary Zubeck of Smock,and Mrs.Rose Malley of New Salem. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City.
