Obituary

George N. Sotak,74.of 129 Shady Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,April 19,1989,at 2:15 p.m. in the Monongahela Valley Hospital.  He was born in Donora,May 31,1914, a son of the late John and Susan Malye Sotak. Mr. Sotak was a member of the St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon;the Belle Vernon American Legion and the Slovak Club of Donora. He was a veteran of World War II,having served as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Force.  He was a retired employee of the U. S. Steel Corp.,having worked in Donora and Christy Park.  He lived in Belle Vernon the last 38 years and was formerly from Donora. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Michael Sotak,and one sister, Anna Danko.He is survived by his wife, Susanne Miklo Sotak; one son,Richard P.and his wife,Susan Sotak of Murrysville; one brother, Andrew Sotak of Monessen and one sister, Mildred Petrus of Donora. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A Prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday a 11:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
