George L.Mitchell of Belle Vernon; died Wednesday;
Dec. 31;1997; at 6:15 p.m. in Allegheny General Hospital;
Pittsburgh.
Born May 3; 1924; in Arnold
City; he was the son of the late
Ozzie and Anna Gerragaugh
Mitchell.
A lifelong resident of the
Belle Vernon area; Mr. Mitchell
was Catholic by faith.
He had been employed at the
former Hercules Company;
Donora.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World
War II; he was a member of the
VFW Post in Charieroi; and the
Naomi Club.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by two
brothers; Thomas and Archie
Mitchell; and a sister; Betty
Olszewski.
Surviving are his wife; Sara
Bitonti Mitchell; with whom he
celebrated 46 years of marriage
on Oct. 20; 1997; three daughters; Mrs. Lee (Janet) Yowonske
of Belle Vernon R.D.3; Mrs. Daniel (Karen) Rischitelli of Belle
Vernon and Nancy Patera of
Minneapolis; Minn; one
brother; Charles Mitchell of
Pricedale: and five grandchildren; Jason and Lee Yowonske
Jr.; Natalie and Emilie Patera
and Rachelle Rose Rischitelli.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in
the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon.
