Obituary

George K.Adams,64,of 543 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly Tuesday,Aug.17,1971,at 10:15 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Wilson,a son of John and Flora Strayer Adams. He was a resident of the Belle Vernon area for the last 40 years. He was employed in the hot mill of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel's Allenport Plant. He was a member of the East Belle Vernon Athletic Association. Surviving are his widow,Helen Lehew Adams,two sons,James K.Adams of Bentleyville and George W.Adams of Belle Vernon,one sister,Mrs.Rachel McLaughlin of Roscoe,and six grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,where a service will be held Friday,Aug.20,at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.David L.Cook of the Faith United Presbyterian Church of Sebring,Ohio,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director.
