Mr.Apodiakos;born in Chios;Greece;had been a Monessen area resident the past 53 years. He retired from the Allenport Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.in 1958. He was a member of St.Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church;Monessen. Surviving are his widow;Mary Mermigas Apodiakos;two daughters;Mrs.John (Lamona) Sfakianos of Baltimore;Md.and Mrs.Nick (Catherine) Aiatosis of Monessen;three sons;William;at home;John and Theodore;both of Monessen;11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;two brothers;Nicholas;in Massachusetts and Xenos;in Greece;and one sister;Mrs.Marie Kritikou of Chios;Greece. Friends are being received at the Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen;where services will be held Wednesday at 12;30 p.m.;followed by additional rites at 1 p.m.in St.Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church;Monessen;with the Rev.James Stathakias;pastor;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Trisigon services will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m.at the funeral home.
