George H.Axton,aged 72 years,died at his home in Fairhope on Wednesday,October 21,1942 at 11:50 p.m. Surviving are his widow,Mrs.Jennie Axton,five sons,George,Jr. of Wheeling,W.Va.,James of Allenport,William of Fairhope,Jacob of Lowber,Robert of Belle Vernon,a daughter,Mrs.Betty Davis,of Fairhope,and 28 grandchildren. The remains are at the late home where friends are being received and funeral services will be held Sunday,October 25,at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev.P.E. Mandy,pastor of the Belle Vernon Baptist Church. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Chas.L.and Edwin Melenyzer,funeral directors.
