Obituary

George Homa,68,of Belle Vernon R.D.2 (Rostraver Township),died suddenly Wednesday,Aug.31,1977 at 8:32 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. Mr.Homa was born March 31,1909 in Banning. He was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church,F.& A.M.lodge 643,Belle Vernon,and the Uniontown Scottish Rite. He had been a resident of Rostraver Twp.for the last 43 years. Mr.Homa was retired as an electrician from the Page Plant of American Chain & Cable Co.,Monessen. Survivors include his widow,Ruth Allen Homa,one daughter,Mrs.Charles (Sheryl) Chapman of Penn Hills,two sisters,Mrs.Barbara Kovalcik of Monongahela and Mrs.Mary Ritchie of Donora,and one grandson,Cody Blaine Chapman. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev.Hartzell A.Michael of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
