Obituary

A week after he was injured in an automobile accident,George H. Huscroft,84,of 149 Est Schoonmaker avenue,died in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital,where he had been a patient.  He was hurt on Wednesday of last week and died Wednesday, September 12,1945 at 11:30 P.M.  According to the police report,Rev. E.O. Kushinir was driving down Oneida street hill when he lost control of his car and his emergancy brakes failed. He struck a parked car on Donner avenue,owned by Marino Tredici,which swerved up over the sidewalk and struck Mr. Huscroft.  The victim was taken to the hospital suffering of shock and bruises. Mr. Huscroft,a member of the Salvation Army,is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Jane Huscroft;two daughters, Mrs. Walter Cousins,with whom he and Mrs. Huscroft resided and Mrs. Vincent Smith of Speers;four sons,William of Engalnd,John of Belle Vernon,Robert of Monessen and Joseph of Charleroi. Twenty-one grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren also survive.  Friends are being received at the Cousins home,149 East Schoonmaker avenue.  The body will be taken to the Baptist Church,Sunday, Sept. 16,at 12:30.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30,with the pastor, Rev. Vincent officiating,assisted by the Adjutant of the Salvation Army.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Charles L. Melenyzer and Edwin F. Melenyzer, funeral directors.
