Born May 26;1916;in Monessen;he was preceded in death by his parents;Abraham and Raifa Jacob Joseph;and his stepfather;Slabey Essey. Mr.Essey was a member of St.Nicholas Orthodox Church;St.Petersburg;Fla. A resident of Florida the past 14 years;he was a retired self-employed gasoline service station operator. Survivors include his wife;Angelina Gialas Essey;one daughter;Michele Essey Reagan of Greensburg;three brothers;Edward Essey of Spring Hill;Fla.;William and Emil Essey;both of Monessen;and two sisters;Mary Jacob of Akron;Ohio;and Mrs.Val (Louise) Zdilla ofBbelle Vernon. he was preceded in death by two daughters;Georgene and Leone Essey;in 1969;and by a brother;Joseph Essey. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A Prayer Service will be held at 10 a.m.Saturday in the funeral home;followed by additional funeral services in St.Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church;Monessen;with the Rev.John Nosal of St.Michael Orthodox Church;Greensburg;officiating. Trisagion Prayers will be said at 8 p.m.Thursday and Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is handling arrangements.
