George C. Welch, Sr.,Main St., Belle Vernon,died Wednesday, March 18,1959,at 4 p.m. in the Somerset State hospital. He was born March 7,1886,in Westmoreland County. Surviving are three sons, George Jr. of Belle Vernon,William of Morrisville and James of Belle Vernon;a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Myrtle) White of Morrisville,two brothers, John of Grays Landing and Edward of Trotter, two sisters, Mrs. George (Myrtle) Deneen of Belle Vernon R.D.3 and Mrs. Paul (Cartha) Marks of Harmarville,seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the McCrory Funeral Home, Fayette City,where funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21,at 2 p.m. The Rev. George Gelslter,pastor of the Episcopal Church of Yukon will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. George M. McCrory & Son,funeral director.
