Obituary

George Breckenridge,60,of Route 201,Belle Vernon R.D.2,was dead on arrival at Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital on Wednesday,Nov.10,1976 at 3:35 a.m. Mr.Breckenridge was born in Washington Twp.on Nov.27,1915,a son of the late Alexander and Ephamie Marshall Breckenridge.  He was a veteran of World War II,having served with the U.S.Marine Corps.  Mr.Breckenridge was employed as a foreman at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.  He was a member of the Brightwell-Daugherty Post 484 of the Fayette City American Legion and a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 167 in Charleroi.  Survivors include his widow,Doris Moskala Breckenridge,two brothers,Robert Breckenridge of Fayette City R.D.1 and John Breckenridge of Midland,and one sister,Elizabeth Breckenridge of Fayette City R.D.1  Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City after 2 p.m.on Thursday,Nov.11,and until the time of the services on Saturday,Nov.13,at 1 p.m.,with the Rev.Frank Garlathy of the Fayette City United Methodist Church officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Howard W.McCrory,funeral director in charge.
