At his home in Belle Vernon Thursday,October 26,1916,occurred the death of George B. Kistler,aged 73 years,a well known miner and Civil war veteran of that place. Death was due to a complication of diseases and came after an illness of some time. Mr. Kistler was a member of Company E,140th Penna,Vol. Infantry during the war and served with distinction throughout the engagement. He has been engaged in coal mining all his life and was known throughout the valley. He is survived by his wife and three children, a daughter and two sons,as well as two brothers and two sisters. The latter are Mrs. Henry Louttit of Monongahela and Mrs. Elizabeth Pritchard of Riverview and A.J. and Joseph Kistler,both of Ohio. He held a fire boss certificate,as a testimonial of his ability as a miner and for many years was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Belle Vernon. The funeral services ill be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the late home.
