He retired in Aug.of 1969 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of St.Leonard’s R.C.Church;Monessen. Surviving are his widow;Mary James Ritzer;a son Donald R.of Monessen;six brothers;Ernest and Anthony of Charleroi;Sylvester of Monessen;Joseph of Midland;Mich.;Frank of Chicago;Ill.and Clement of Los Angeles;Calif.;two sisters;Mrs.Helen Rulong of Roscoe;Mrs.Dolores Root of Boulder;Colo.;and two grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 10 p.m.Saturday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.Sunday at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Monday at 9 a.m. Mass will follow at 10 a.m.in St.Leonard’s R.C.Church;Monessen;with the Rev.Henry P.Dinicco;pastor;officiating.
