George A. Svec,64,of Perryopolis died Thursay, Dec. 15,1988,at 7:45 p.m. at his home. He was born April 11,1924,in Roscoe,a son of the late Andrew and Mary Hydosky Svec. Mr. Svec was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church of Perryopolis. He was a veteran of World War II,having served with the U.S.Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter,Patrice Lynn Svec,and a sister, Mary Bilitski. Surviving are his wife, Helen Kirpan Svec;one son Gordon Svec of Honolulu, Hawaii;three grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Kate Rischer and Mrs. Sue Cowell,both of Roscoe,Mrs. Ann Grimes of Daisytown and Mrs. Julia Amendola of Monessen. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home Inc.,Perryopolis.
