Obituary

Geno Tonarelli, 90, of Belle Vernon, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, in Mon Valley Care Center. A son of the late Dominick and Tina Petrucci Tonarelli, he was born Dec. 27, 1916. Geno was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, a former member of the Belle Vernon American Legion, Post 659 and the former Belle Vernon Italian Club on Market Street. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he had been a salesman for the former Melenyzer Furniture Company. Survivors include four sisters-in-law, Theresa Dobos, Frannie Dobos, Clara Tonarelli and Norma Tonarelli, eight nieces, Linda Tonarelli, Gerry Tonarelli, Tina Morrison and husband, Earl, Elaine Duggan and husband, Rich, Patricia Tonarelli Bigi and husband, Herman, Teri Dobos, Arlene Stadalnik and husband, Bill, and Suzanne Bugjo and husband, Peter, and three nephews, Michael Dobos and wife, Pam, Mark Dobos and wife, Hillary, and John Dobos. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Tonarelli, on July 2, 2006, and three brothers, Dominick Babe , John and Anthony Tonarelli, and one nephew, Gerald Tonarelli. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY INC., (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 26, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m., led by members of St. Sebastian Parish.
