Obituary

Genevieve Stringhill, 85, of North Belle Vernon, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Alfonso and Susan Tomassa Bianchi, she was born in Newell on Jan. 27, 1918. Mrs. Stringhill was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. Formerly of Newell, she had resided in North Belle Vernon since 1971 and worked at Stringhill's Restaurant for 43 years, where she made pizza shells. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph A. and Judith Stringhill of Lynnwood, and John and Patty Stringhill of North Belle Vernon, one daughter, Flora Stringhill of Lynnwood, one brother, Walter Bianchi of Newell, three sisters, Millie LaBue of Glassport, Eleanor Bianchi of North Belle Vernon, and Dolores Unone of Irwin, five grandchildren, Jackie Nicholson of Florida, Joseph Stringhill of North Belle Vernon, Jodie Monack of Washington Township, Noelle Stringhill of Belle Vernon, and Frank Stringhill of Mt. Washington, and four great-grandchildren, Courtney Chester, Haley Stringhill, Logan Monack and Kaitlin Nicholson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stringhill, in 1969. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Member Firm, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A prayer services will be in the funeral home Tuesday, June 3 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
