Genevieve Sis Jacobs; 82; of Charleroi; died Wednesday; Dec. 18; 2002; in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Sept. 11; 1920; in Dunlevy; a daughter of the late George Hayden and Mary Price Jacobs. She moved from Dunlevy to Charleroi in 1975. She started working as a waitress in 1936 at the former JIB’s restaurant in Charleroi and retired 60 years later in 1996 from the former Santoni’s restaurant. She was a member of the Dunlevy United Methodist Church and was an avid member of the Tuesday morning Bible Study Group. Surviving are one daughter; Brenda Simon of Dunlevy; two granddaughters; Marmee Simon and Marcy Schultz and husband Jamie; all of Charleroi; two great-grandsons; Jacob Arron and Caleb Schultz; two nephews; Robert R. Jacobs of Ft. Myers; Fla.; and Gary Fox of Fallowfield Township; one niece; Gail Karkaria of Pittsburgh; three great-nephews; one aunt; Bertha Fleming of Belle Vernon; two sisters-in-law; Edna Jacobs of Dunlevy and Grace Fox of Fallowfield Township; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Norman Fox; Robert R. Jacobs and Bill Jacobs. Visitation will be held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC.; 235 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi; where funeral services will be held Monday; Dec. 23; at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff St. Clair officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
