Gemma Houston;88;of Chesapeake;Va.;formerly of North Charleroi;died Friday;Oct.21;1994;at 6:15 p.m.in the Sentara Village Nursing Center;Chesapeake;Va. Mrs.Houston was born Aug.19;1906;in Charleroi;a daughter of the late Peter and Armida Tintori Michelotti. She was a Prostestant by faith. Surviving are one granddaughter;Armida Dora of Virginia Beach;Va.;and two great-grandsons;John Dora Jr.and James Dora. In additon to her parents;Mrs.Houston was also preceded in death by her husband;James Houston in 1980;and by a daughter;Donna Sommers;in 1977. There will be no public visitation. Services will be held Thursday at 11:15 a.m.in the Chapel of Belle Vernon Cemetery with the Rev.Francis M.Blair officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests that contributions in Mrs.Houston’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Monessen Public Library or the John K.Tener Library in Charleroi.
