Services were held Wednesday;Sept.8;1982 for Gale T.Atkins of 427 Fell St.;Belle Vernon;who died Sunday;Sept.5;1982;at 8:28 a.m. in Monongahela Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. Mr.Atkins was 44. Mr.Atkins was born Sept.14;1937;in Belle Vernon;a son of the late Clarence anbd Evelyn Summerville Atkins. He was a life-long resident of Belle Vernon and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. He also was a social member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. Mr.Atkins was retired from Royal Hydraulics in Bentleyville;where he had worked as a welder. He is survived by his widow;Eleanor Dziak Atkins;one son;Gary T.Atkins of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.Everett (Debra) McElfresh of Plum Borough and Karen Atkins at home;and two sisters;Mrs.Gordon (Connie) Bethem of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Gary (Joyce) Dull of Belle Vernon. Friends were received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to p.m. at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Services were held Wednesday;Sept.8;1982 at 10 o’clock at the funeral home;with the Rev.Lee Dinsel;pastor of First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial was in Belle Vernon cemetery.
