Obituary

Frederick R. Yeaton, 90, formerly of Lee Drive, Belle Vernon, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A son of the late Harold and Mabel Nelson Yeaton, he was born in Belle Vernon on March 3, 1914. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, he was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon, a life member of the East Belle Vernon Athletic Club and Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Company, and a long-time member and founder of the Blue and Gold Cadets. Mr. Yeaton retired in 1975 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred H. and Lynne Yeaton of Ocala, Fla., and Gordon and Janice Yeaton of Belle Vernon, three grandchildren, Chris Yeaton, Candice Yeaton Letter and Vicki Yeaton Kutska, and five great-grandchildren, Jonathon and Jake Yeaton, Lyndsay and Nikolas Kutska, and Ava Letter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Kuklar Yeaton, on June 24, 1999, a sister, Louise Yeaton Bush, and a granddaughter, Tammy Yeaton. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, (724-929-5300), a Golden Rule Member Firm, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Bowers officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
