Obituary

Frederick Nathan McCamic of Purcellville, Va.,died Friday,March 8,1996,at 12:07 a.m. in Fairfax Hospital,Falls Church,Va.  Born May 9,1917,in West Virginia,he was the son of the late Louis H.and Cynthia McCamic. Mr. McCamic had resided in Purcellville for several years and was a former resident of Carroll Township.  In the 1960s,he was employed at The Valley Independent.  He was also an editor at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.  He was known locally as the "Cane Seat Man" for his work with chairs.  In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Mae McCamic.  Surviving are one son,Frederick W. McCamic of Claexico,Calif.;one daughter,Ellen M. Forsyth of Purcellville;three grandchildren,Chris McCamic and Erin and Ashley Rush;and a sister,Mary Lou McCloy of Mt. Pleasant. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg,210 Ed Ferry Road,Leesburg,Va.
