Obituary

Frederick E. Clack Borne,85,of 224 First St.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Oct.23,1997,in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Donora on Sept.11,1912,he was a son of the late Leon and Blanche Shara Borne. Mr.Borne was a resident of Belle Vernon since 1943,formerly living in Charleroi. He retired in 1974,from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,as a checker in the shipping department. Mr.Borne was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II,serving in the Medical Corp. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Elizabeth on March 9,1986,and a son,Leon F.Borne on Dec.10,1981. Survivors include a daughter,Bonnie Walch,with whom he made his home,three grandchildren,Michael Borne,Amanda Walch and Ashley Walch,and one great-granddaughter,Mikayla Borne. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home,with Pastor Donald Chudd of Lynnwood Lutheran Church,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
