Freda Gaskill,95,formerly of North Charleroi and Fairfax,Va.,where she lived with her daughter,died Friday,Jan.17,1997,in the Havencrest Nursing Home,Carroll Township. She was born Nov. 1,1901,in Jefferson Township,a daughter of the late Victor and Anna Glass Valentine. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include one daughter,Norma Jean Travis,Ed.D. of Independence,Mo.;and one grandson,Richey Scott Travis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Wilford D. Gaskill on July 19,1972. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Elder Carl Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
