Obituary

Fred William Reese,47,well known sheriff of Akron,Ohio,and a former valley resident,died suddenly early yesterday Jan.23,1933,in the home of his brother,Ernest Reese,at Belle Vernon,from an attack of acute indigestion. M.Reese,who arrived at Belle Vernon Saturday for a brief visit with his brother,complained of not feeling well Sunday. He did not eat anything during the day and in early evening he went to a Belle Vernon drug store for some medicine. At 9 p.m. he returned to his brother's residence in 329 Main street and ate a fried egg sandwich. He retired about midnight. Two hours later his brother heard Mr.Reese groaning,and,upon going to his bedroom,found him unconscious. Death came within a few minutes. Mr.Reese had resided in the Ohio city for a number of years. He was the father of Fred Reese,Jr.,and Edgar Reese,both of Liberty avenue,West Brownsville. The body was removed to the Melenyzer mortuary ar Belle Vernon.
