Obituary
Fred Horn,83,of Arlington,Va;,died Monday,Oct. 23,2000,in Havencrest Nursing Center, Carroll township. Born Oct. 20,1917, in Monessen,he was the son of the late Ernest and Robenia Duncan Horn. A member of First Baptist Church of Monessen,he was an employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen plant. Survivors include his children, Kenneth and wife Beverly Horn of Arlingtn,Va.,Carol and husband Harold Dauer of Pomona, N.Y.,and David and wife JoAnn Horn of Cortland,Ohio; two sisters,Mrs. John (Dorothy) Lender of Monessen and Mrs. Bert (Margie) Hazlett of Brian, Ohio and five grandchildren. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Eugene Horn and a grandson,Chrstopher D. Horn. Services were held Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Rhome Funeal Home Inc.,a Golden Rule Funeral Home, 1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen.
