Penn Hospital; Pittsburgh.
He was born in Fayette City
on July 15; 1914 and had lived
in Belle Vernon the past 55
years.
Mr. Stringhill was a painting
contractor.
He was a member of St.
Sebastian Catholic Church;
Belle Vernon; where he served
as an usher. He also belonged
to the Belle Vernon American
Legion Post 659.He had served as a sergeant
with the 841st Engineers
during World War I I .
Preceding him in death
were his father;Joseph
Stringhill; in 1968;his mother;
Josephine Mazzei Stringhill
in 1955;a sister; Innis; in 1971;
and the following brothers:
Orlando; in 1969; Charles in
1954; Frank in 1969; Rudolph; in
January;1974; and James; in
June of 1974. Surviving are the following
brothers and sisters; Tony F.
Stringhill and Samuel S.
Stringhill; both of Belle
Vernon; and Louis Stringhill;
Lena S. Stringhill and Mrs.
Janie Mitchell; with whom he
resided.
Friends w i l l be received at
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; Belle Vernon;
from 7 in 9 p.m. Thursday
and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Friday. Prayers will be recited at
the funeral home on Saturday at
10:30 a.m.; followed by Mass of
Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Sebastian Catholic Church; Belle
Vernon. Interment will be in Belle
Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.
