Obituary

Fred Sekoski of 1116 Linn Drive,Belle Vernon,died Saturday,Jan.4,1986,at 10 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was 65. Mr.Sekoski was born July 5,1920,in Monessen,a son of the late Louis and Stella Dembeck Czajkowski. In adition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother,Raymond Sekoski,in 1979. He was a member of St.Sebastian Catholic Church,Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and Belle Vernon VFW Post 3557. A Belle Vernon resident the past 28 years,Mr.Sekoski had formerly lived in Monessen. He retired in August 1985 from the Fayette County Housing Authority. Mr.Sekoski was a former employee of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Monessen Plant. Survivors include his wife,Mary Ann Yonko Sekoski,a son and a daughter,David F.and Karen Sekoski,both at home,two brothers,Joseph Cekoski of Belle Vernon and Chef Cinders of Florida,and one sister,Mrs.David (Regina) Lahti of Arnold City. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a prayer service will be held Wednesday,Jan.8,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Church. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
