Obituary

Fred Kozak of 807 Cardiff Ave.,Lynnwood,Belle Vernon,was dead on arrival at Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital on Wednesday,Feb.19,1975,at 6:20 p.m. He was 87. Mr.Kozak was retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He belonged to Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Lynnwood,and was a charter member of the Russian Club of Pricedale. Preceding him in death were his wife,Anna Kozak,who died Oct.13,1974,and two daughters,Mrs.Mary Swader and Mrs.Alice Boris,both of whom died in 1945. Surviving are one daughter,Mrs.Alvin (Helen) Bulger of Belle Vernon,two sons,William Kozak of Brigham City,Utah and Sam Kozak of Okmulgee,Okla.,one sister,Mrs.Anna Rock of Cambridge Springs,Pa.,15 grandchildren,and 22 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Harold R.Toner and Gerald R.Essey Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday. Family and friends will meet Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Lynnwood,for a Requiem service with the Rev.John Kluchko,pastor,as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 8 p.m. Harold R.Toner and Gerald R.Essey are funeral directors in charge.
