Fred Hixenbaugh;a resident of the Charleroi Hotel;died unexpectedly Monday;September 4;1972;at 12:30 p.m.in the Uniontown Hospital. Born Oct.10;1915;in Morgantown;W.Va.;he was a resident of the Monessen area most of his life. Mr.Hixenbaugh was on disability retirement from the shipping department of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are a brother;Osburn of Lake Lynn;Pa;;three sisters;Mrs.Mary Parkins of Ravenna;Ohio;Mrs.Frances Ardis of Toledo;Ohio;Mrs.Mertle Homan of Gary;Ind.;several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday at the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home;Monessen;where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Joseph C.Rial;pastor of the First Methodist Church;Monessen;officiating.
