Fred Federer Jr.;85;of West Newton;passed away Tuesday;Jan.31;2012;in Monongahela Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. He was born Sept.15;1926;in Roscoe;a son of the late Fred Frederick Federer and Rose Mae Simmons Federer. Fred was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Monessen Plant;a U.S.Navy veteran of World War II and an avid bowler and fisherman. Fred was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Fred is survived by his fiancee;Betty Bedner;of West Newton;grandson;Jason Federer and wife;Jennifer;great-grandson;Jaxon Frederick Federer;close family friend;Jay Angeline and wife;Patty;nieces and nephews;Dennis Ferencz;Edwin K.Smock;Robert Smock Jr.;Donna Mae Watson;Renee Smail;Mom Denitti;Jake and Betty Ann Kelly;Tom Cunningham;Gloria Tomer and Karen Oakley. Also survived by numerous nieces;nephews and cousins not mentioned. He was preceded in death by his wife;Dolores Betty Morton Federer;on June 20;2008;a son;Fred Federer;in 1981;sisters and brothers;Rosella;Luzella;Charles;Essie;Goldie;Margaret;Thelma;Dorothy and Mary.
