Fred Bud Burton; 68; of North Charleroi; died Sunday; Jan. 6; 2002 in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Jan. 16; 1933 in Charleroi; the son of the late Edward Burton and Ruth Heslep Jones. Mr. Burton was Protestant by faith. He retired from the Atlas Merchandising Co. where he was general manager. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife; Marlene Rodish Burton; three daughters; Debra Scott; Micki Welsh and Kristin Burton; all of Virginia; two grandchildren; Christopher and Amanda Scott; one brother and sister-in-law; Ronald and Angela Burton of Florida. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a sister; Beverly Ruth Burton. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME; INC.; 226 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Spear officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
