Franklin Dunn Patterson; 65; of Donora; died suddenly on Wednesday; Sept. 1; 2004. Born July 24; 1939; in Dillon; he was a son of the late Joseph and Lucy Dunn Patterson. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by three sisters; Lucille Bright; Alice Jean Smith and Helen Cleveland; and one brother; John Patterson. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran with 23 years of military service. He served overseas assignments in Vietnam and Germany. Mr. Patterson was a member of F&AM Lodge 79 in Monessen. He leaves to cherish his memory one brother; Elmer Patterson of Maryland; six nieces; Carolyn Bright Graham of Delaware; Lillian Bright Ashby and Johnetta Bright; both of Ohio; Charlotte Smith Boyd of Charleroi; Valarie Smith Jones of Virginia and Kimberly Patterson of Pennsylvania; five nephews; John Bright III and Herbert Smith Jr. of Ohio; Kevin Patterson of Florida; Keith Patterson and Kendall Patterson of Maryland; and a host of other relatives and friends. There will be no public viewing. Graveside services will be held Saturday; Sept. 4; at 11 a.m. on Saturday; September 4; 2004 in Belle Vernon Cemetery with Elder Richard Bass of Greater Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C in Monongahela officiating.
