Franklin D. Garee, 66, of Fayette City R.D.1,died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1971,at 3:45 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Fayette City Dec. 9,1905, a son of the late John and Adaline Burton Garee. He was a retired railroader for Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad, He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and Brownsville Elks. Surviving are his widow, Edna Rettstatt Garee; two daughters, Brenda,wife of Dr. Eugene Scaramucci,of Belle Vernon and Donna at home; one granddaughter and one sister, Mrs. Helen Showman of Connellsville. Friends will be received at the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where a service will be held Monday,Jan. 3,at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles H. Reynolds of the Newell United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W. McCrory,funeral director.
