Frank Wertz;62;of 712 Chestnut St.Greensburg;former Chief of Police of Bentleyville;died Monday Jan.9;1961;at 5 a.m.in the Monsour Hospital;Greensburg. Mr.Wertz was a retired federal guard at the National Capital;Washington;D.C. He was a member of the F.and A.M. Washington;D.C.;and the American Legion Post 659;American Legion.He served in the U.S.Army during World War I. He is survived by his widow;Bertha Milby Wertz;and two daughters;Margaret and Jean. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home;Belle Vernon; beginning Tuesday;Jan 10 at 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday Jan.12. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
