Obituary

Frank Spazak, 57, of 311 Glister St., Fairhope, Belle Vernon, died suddenly Sunday,Aug.8,1976, at 9 a.m. at his residence. Born June 19, 1919, in Youngstown, Ohio, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John P. Spazak. A coal miner, Mr. Spazak was employed at Banning Mine, Republic Steel Corp. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served overseas in the European Theater of Operations. He was a member of the Polish National Church of Fairhope and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Strychalski Spazak, in 1970. Surviving are one son, Frank Jr., at home, two daughters, Mrs. James (Kathleen) Oleniacz of Pittsburgh and Marlene Spazak, also at home,one brother, Theodore of Belle Vernon, one sister, Mrs. Stanley (Norma) Brazzon of Fairhope. Friends are being received after 2:30 p.m. Monday,Aug.9, in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home, Main St., Fayette City,where a Blessing service will take place at 11 a.m.Wednesday,Aug.11,with the Rev.Felix Pyzowski of Polish National Church of Washington,Pa.,in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W.McCrory is the funeral director in charge.
