Obituary

Frank Scaglione,78,of 129 Elks Place,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Jan.11,1973,at 2:15 a.m. in the Brownsville General Hospital,where he had been hospitalized since Dec.25. Born May 5,1894,in Italy,Mr.Scaglione was a retired coal miner having worked for 21 years for Consolidated Coal Co.,Pricedale. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ,Roscoe,and the Sons of Italy,Monongahela. Surviving are his widow,Anna DeRose Scaglione,three sons,Paul of Fellsburg,Frank and Thomas,both of Belle Vernon,three brothers,Joseph,Samuel and Louis,all of Monongahela,two sisters,Mrs.Jenny Reo and Mrs.Stella Julian,both of Monongahela and 11 grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.and until 11 a.m.on Saturday,Jan.13,1973 when the body will be taken to the Church of Jesus Christ in Roscoe to lie in state from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m.,the time of the service with Elder J.Fred Olexa officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director,in charge.
