Obituary

Frank S.Sellaro Sr.,61,of 415 Main St.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,May 29,1975 at 6:20 p.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Belle Vernon on Nov.16,1913,he was the son of Ross and Saleta Bitonti Sellaro. Mr.Sellaro served as a member of Belle Vernon Fire Dept.No.2 for 43 years and had been chief of the company for nine of those years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and belonged to the Belle Vernon American Legion Post,Charleroi and Belle Vernon Veterans of Foreign Wars posts and the Fayette and Western Firemen's Associations. He was employed as a custodian in the Belle Vernon Area School District,working at Rostraver Junior High School. Surviving are his widow,Joyce A.McGavitt Sellaro,one son,Frank Jr.and one daughter,Rosanna,both at home,four brothers,James V.Sellaro,John Sellaro and Louis A.Sellaro,all three of Belle Vernon,and Joseph Sellaro of Monessen,three sisters,Mrs.Brownie (Edith) Lachowicz,Mrs.John (Mary) Klisowski and Mrs.Clifford (Theresa) Toth,all of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Saturday and Sunday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Charles Colas of First Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,and the Rev.David Hosick of the Presbyterian Church of Omaha,Neb.,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
