Obituary

Frank Roskovich,77,of Arnold City,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Feb.19,1989,at 8:30 p.m.in Washington Hospital,Washington,Pa.,following a lengthy illness. He was born in Czechoslovakia on Sept.17,1911,a son of the late John and Eva Madulick Roskovich. Mr.Roskovich was Catholic by faith and a retired coal miner,having worked for 38 years at Mathies Mine. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his first wife,Margaret Yensick Roskovich,in 1956,one son,Frank R.Roskovich,in 1984 and four brothers. He is survived by his wife,Alba Battaglini Roskovich,one son,Michael R.Roskovich of Belle Vernon,one daughter,Mrs.William (Marlene) Smith of North Charleroi,seven grandchildren,one brother,Chuck Roskovich of Florida,and five sisters,Ann Kudlac of Ellsworth,Mary Tokar of the state of California,Helen Stankovich of Bentleyville,Julia McKevitt of Fayette City R.D.1and Eva Roskovich of Washington,Pa. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.,Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday until 10:30 a.m.when a Blessing service will be held in the funeral home. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Belle Vernon. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Main St.,Fayette City,is in charge of the arrangements.
