Frank R. Davies,59,of 961 Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen,died Wednesday, April 9,1969 at 10:55 a.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Born in Birmingham, England,Aug. 23,1909,he was a son of William L. Davies and the late Lucy G. Astley Davies. Mr. Davies was a member of St. Mary Episcopal Church, Charleroi, served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired employee of the Allenport Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. His wife, Leanora Bissiere Davies, is deceased. Surviving besides his father, who lives in Speers,is a sister, Mrs. James (Marguerite) Stedman.also of Speers. Friends will be received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home,Charleroi,from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Service there Saturday,April 12,at 11 a.m. with Canon Joseph Winkofski of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Charleroi,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C. Slezak,funeral director.
