Obituary

Frank Peroney,72,of 436 May St.,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,Aug.3,1976,at 1:30 a.m.in Presbyterian Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was born in Emblem,Pa.,on Jan.29,1904,and had lived in the Belle Vernon area for over 60 years. Mr.Peroney retired on Oct.1,1968,from the tube division of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by a son,Frank Peroney Jr.,on May 2,1953. Surviving are his widow,Mary Peroney,two daughters,Mrs.Lawrence (Laura) Palvekosky of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Melvyn (Frances) Gruben of Springfield,Mass.,one brother,Humbert Peroney of Belle Vernon,two sisters,Mrs.Grace Ferguson of Seattle,Wash.,and Mrs.Almeda Nichols of Fayette City,four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.at the funeral home with the Rev.Charles Colas of First Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
