Obituary

Frank Panepinto Sr.. 76, of Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born in Monessen, he was the son of the late Antonio and Marie Scudiere Panepinto. Mr. Panepinto had been employed at the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. for many years prior to his retirement. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Poland Panepinto, a granddaughter, Heather Jean Cowell, and three brothers, Ross, Anthony and Phillip Panepinto. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Frank Jr. and Hope Panepinto of Belle Vernon, a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Wilfred Hez Cowell of Roscoe, four grandchildren, Frank E., Justin and Brooke Panepinto, and Haley Cowell, two brothers, Joseph and Pete Panepinto, both of Belle Vernon and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen. Prayer services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.
