Obituary

Frank Flora, 98, of Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in Mon Valley Hospital. Born June 24, 1909, in Belle Vernon, he was the son of the late Jack and Thomasina Luperta Flora. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belle Vernon, F&AM No. 643 of Belle Vernon, the Charleroi Chapter of the AARP, Shrine of Pittsburgh and the McKean Commandery. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an operating engineer for Local 66 of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Quintier Flora, on August 24, 2006, brothers and sisters, Anna Pollizzano, Ross Flora, Pete Flora, Mary Mascara, Angelina Brazack, Joseph Flora, John Flora and Josephine Neil. Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Frank and Dolores Mascara, of Charleroi, Thomas A. and Lorraine Quintier, and Rose Kander, all of North Belle Vernon, and Joanne Schuster, of Monongahela, and many other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY INC., www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Additional viewing will be held in the First United Methodist Church in Belle Vernon from 11 a.m. to noon, the time of service with the Rev. David Zona officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
