Obituary

Frank H.Cherock of 3900 South 19th St.,Arlington,Va.,died on Tuesday,Oct.18,1983,at 6:15 a.m.in Arlington Hospital. Mr.Cherock,a former resident of Belle Vernon,was 74. He was born in Watkins Glen,N.Y.,on April 18,1909,a son of the late William and Clara Lambert Cherock. Mr.Cherock was a member of St.Thomas Moore Cathedral. A resident of Arlington for the past 23 years,he previously had lived in Belle Vernon. He was a carpenter for the U.S.Navy Department. In addiiton to his parents,Mr.Cherock was preceded in death by a son,William J.Cherock in 1939. Surviving are his wife,Angeline Matrozzo Cherock,four brothers,Joseph of Tyrone,N.Y.,Nick,John and Bill,all of Watkins Glen and a sister,Mrs.Ray (Paula) Kulz of Elmira,N.Y. Friends are being received on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave,Belle Vernon,where a prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m.at St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
