Frank H.Cherock of 3900 South 19th St.;Arlington;Va.;died on Tuesday;Oct.18;1983;at 6:15 a.m.in Arlington Hospital. Mr.Cherock;a former resident of Belle Vernon;was 74. He was born in Watkins Glen;N.Y.;on April 18;1909;a son of the late William and Clara Lambert Cherock. Mr.Cherock was a member of St.Thomas Moore Cathedral. A resident of Arlington for the past 23 years;he previously had lived in Belle Vernon. He was a carpenter for the U.S.Navy Department. In addiiton to his parents;Mr.Cherock was preceded in death by a son;William J.Cherock in 1939. Surviving are his wife;Angeline Matrozzo Cherock;four brothers;Joseph of Tyrone;N.Y.;Nick;John and Bill;all of Watkins Glen and a sister;Mrs.Ray (Paula) Kulz of Elmira;N.Y. Friends are being received on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m.at St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
