Obituary

Frank G. Holroyd, 61, of 1525 Marion Ave., Monessen, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday,Jan.23,1963. He had been in declining health for some time. Born in Toronto, Ohio, Mr. Holroyd had been a resident of Monessen most of his life and was employed as a cashier in the Monessen office of the Pennsylvania and Lake Erie railroad. Mr. Holroyd was a member and deacon of the First Christian Church of Monessen and belonged to the following Masonic organizations: Free and Accepted Masons 638 of Monessen, of which he had been past master, Royal Arch Chapter 168 of Monessen, McKean Commandery 30 of Charleroi, Tall Cedars of Lebanon 149 of Washington, Pa., the Consistory and Syria Temple Shrine, both of Pittsburgh, and Mon Valley Caravan 17. Surviving are his widow, Laverta Clingerman Holroyd; one son, Floyd M. of Detroit, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Gail) Marmie of Monessen,and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home in Monessen where services will be held Saturday,Jan.26,at 1:30 p.m.in charge of the Rev. Wayne M.Tolson,pastor of the First Christian Church of Monessen.  Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.  H.Denver Rhome,funeral director.
