Obituary

Frank Cvetan,89,of Cook St.Extension,Navajo Hollow,Fayette City,died Friday,January 9,1976,at 9 a.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born March 3,1886,in Yugoslavia,Europe,he had spent the greater part of his adult life in this country,mostly in the Fayette City area. A retired coal miner,he was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Mr.Cvetan was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Fayette City. His wife,Katheryn,preceded him in death in 1975. Surviving are three sons,Rudolph of Braznell,Frank of Sun City,Ariz.,and Joseph of Monessen,one daughter,Mrs.Barbara Rade,also of Monessen,and eight grandchildren. Friends will be received beginning at 2 p.m.,Saturday in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Main St.Fayette City,where a prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Catholic Church,with the Rev.Thomas Rinn as the celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parish Rosary service will be held Sunday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. Howard W.McCrory is the funeral director in charge.
