Frank Caputo; 92; of Monessen; died Wednesday; Jan. 16; 2002. He was born Nov. 11; 1909; in Italy; the son of the late Michael Caputo and Louisa Cavelli Caputo Mastronicola. He was a member of the Italian Society of Mutual Aid; the Order Sons of Italy Lodge 1764; and Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church; all in Monessen. Mr. Caputo was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen Plant. He is survived by two sisters; Mrs. Russell (Margaret) Bergstedt and Faustina Fell Skomsky; both of Fallowfield Township; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Edith Imberscia Caputo; an infant son; two sisters; Carmalene Osborne and Nathalia Nell Hurley; and one brother; Luke P. Mastronicola. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME; INC.; 226 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 2 p.m. in Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
