Obituary

Frank Caputo of 509 Main street,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,April 24,1949,at 10:10 a.m. He was born January 29,1887,and had been a merchant in Belle Vernon for the past twenty years,having operated a grocery and meat business there. He served during World War One as Pfc.in Company B of the Second Development Battalion,United States Army,and was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659,and Sons of Italy In America Lodge of Belle Vernon. He is survived by his wife,Mrs.Barbara Caputo,one son,Joseph of Belle Vernon,one daughter,Mary Rose at home,two brothers,James of West Virginia and John of Belle Vernon,and two sisters in Italy. Friends will be received at the home of his son,Joseph Caputo,334 Main street,Belle Vernon. Services will be held in St.Sebastian Church,Thursday,April 24,1949,at 10 a.m.in charge of Rev.Eugene Harkins. Military rites will be in charge of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
