Obituary

Frank Camino of Allen's Crossroads,Rostraver Road,Rostraver Twp.,a former Belle Vernon businessman and chief of police,died Tuesday,July 6,1982,at 7:25 a.m.in the Jefferson Hills Convalescent Home,Jefferson Borough. He was 77. Mr.Camino was born in Belle Vernon on May 27,1905,a son of the late Dominic and Amelia Dillalo Camino. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community,Mr.Camino was the former ploice chief of Belle Vernon Borough and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police where he had served as treasurer for many years. A former businessman in the Belle Vernon community,he had operated Camino's Curb Service Restaurant. Mr.Camino also was a past employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,having worked for the Public Utility Commission and the Department of Revenue. He was a member of St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon,Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 and a Fourth Degree member of the Bishop Phelan General Assembly,Order of the Alhambra,Wamba Caravan 89,a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department,and a member of the Charleroi Hunting Lodge. Mr.Camino was a charter member of the Rostraver Lions Club,where he had been active for the past 30 years serving as chairman of the Blind Committee. He also was a member of the Charleroi Elks,A.A.R.P.,Isaak Walton League and the Fayette County Republican Committee for the past 35 years. He was preceded in death by two sisters,Mary Catrino in 1951 and Lena Foltz in 1982,and a brother,Louis Camino in 1979. Survivors include his wife,Anna Mascara Camino,two daughters,Mrs.Jan (Pati) Wasicek of Belle Vernon and Linda Camino,a home,two sisters,Mrs.Jack (Gilda) McShane of Florida and Mrs.Andrew (Clara) Skruber of Valparaiso,Ind.,and four grandchildren,Margaret,David,Elizabeth and John Patrick Wasicek,all of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 9:30 a.m.followed at 10 a.m.by a Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Fund. Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 services will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home,Fourth degree Bishop Phelan General Assembly services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home,North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department Services will be held Thursday evening at 7:15 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
