Obituary

Frank Bitonti, 75, of Belle Vernon, died Monday, February 25, 2008, in Jefferson Hills Manor, Jefferson Borough. Born in Belle Vernon on July 1, 1932, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Mary Spina Bitonti. He worked as an electrical engineer for U.S. Steel. Mr. Bitonti was a retired Colonel for the U.S. Army Reserves and a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Township. He is survived by his son, Thomas Bitonti, of Carey, N.C., two daughters, Marie T. Smith and husband, Robert, of Mentor, Ohio, and Diana L. Hardy, of Madison, Ohio, two grandchildren, Madeline Smith and Robert Smith, and one brother and sister, Joseph Bitonti and Anna Adametz, both of Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Sam Bitonti. Friends will be received Thursday, February 28, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, February 29, until 9:30 a.m. in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/ Rostraver Township (724-929-7934), www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Anne, Rostraver Township, with his pastor, the Rev. Ronald L. Simboli, presiding. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
