Obituary

Frank Glister,60,of Fayette City R.D.1,died Thursday,Feb. 8,1979,in Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness.  Born Oct. 9,1918,in Fayette County,he was a son of the late Frank and Stella Belczyk Glister and had resided most of his life in the Fayette City area.  He was retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.  Mr. Glister was a member of the Washngton Twp. Fire Department and Fayett County Firemen's Association.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are hsi widow, Mrs. Noreen Guth Glister; one son, Gregory A. of Pittsburgh;one daughter, Robin,at home; two brothers, John of Clarksville and Andrew of Belle Vernon;two sisters, Mrs. George (Helen) Hemich and Mrs. George (Anne) Relich,both of Belle Vernon and one granddaughter. Friends are being received after 3 p.m. Saturday in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Main St.,Fayette City,where services will be held Monday at 10 a.m.,with the Rev. Felix Pyzowski of the Polish National Catholic Church of Fairhope (Washington Twp.) in charge.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Howard W. McCrory is the funeral director in charge.
